Meet our new Enterprise Account Executive, Carrie Zaragoza. Carrie joined the Groundspeed team with over 15 years of experience in sales. Her most recent experience at Verzion was over seven years in the SaaS division, working with various Fortune 15 Enterprise accounts. The software platforms Carrie worked with encompassed cybersecurity, transportation, and 5G-enabled robotics.

What brought you to Groundspeed?
Having previously worked at Oracle before Verizon, I was looking to pivot back into a ‘software first’ company instead of a ‘telecommunications first’ company. I also was interested in working for a company with a more laser-focused mission for the end customer and one that is making waves in the marketplace.

What would you say to someone considering a career in your field?
Being truly passionate about building real relationships and helping customers achieve business outcomes is the catalyst behind every successful colleague, mentor, or boss I have had the pleasure of working with thus far in my career. If you have these qualities, you are already a step ahead.

What do you think is the future of Commercial Insurance Underwriting and the role of Groundspeed in shaping that?
The future of Commercial Insurance Underwriting is clearly one that is evolving and will look completely different 20 years from now with enhanced automation. I see Groundspeed as a well-positioned disruptor in the industry, which will be fun to be a part of a transformational and industry-changing dynamic.

Can you share a fun fact about yourself?
I rescued my now four-year-old lab on vacation with my husband in Mexico. He was just a 3-month pup when he came up to us at a coffee shop. We carried him on our Delta flight back, and the rest is history – he has turned out to be the best dog ever!
