Meet Bryan Quandt, our Product Manager for Groundspeed’s internal software applications. Bryan plans the development of the software tools, automations, and workflows used in our Human in the Loop system.
What is your favorite part about working at Groundspeed?
I have to cheat here and give two related answers: the people and the learning opportunities. First, I enjoy showing up (remotely) to work each day because of my coworkers – everyone is smart, on top of things, and just fun to spend time with. Plus, through working with them, I’ve been able to practice existing skills, build new ones, and take on responsibilities that help me grow as a Product Manager.
What are you most proud of during your journey with Groundspeed?
Even more than the software I’ve helped launch, I’m most proud of the culture of trust and openness I’ve reinforced in our internal tools software development process. That feeling of building something together helps all of us produce better outcomes for our customers and have a good time doing it.
What would you say to someone considering a career with Groundspeed?
Go for it! If you’re looking to solve exciting insurance challenges, grow your career, and collaborate with intelligent and kind coworkers, then Groundspeed could be the right place for you.
What do you think is the future of Commercial Insurance Underwriting and the role of Groundspeed in shaping that?
In two words: completeness and speed. I see underwriters wanting more complete information about their prospective insureds, both from commercial insurance documents about the prospective insured and third-party datasets that inform risk. Plus, they want that information as fast as possible. Groundspeed delivers a wide range of data quickly right now, and will continue to deliver a greater breadth of data at high speed moving forward.
Can you share a fun fact about yourself?
One of my hobbies is writing short stories!
