Groundspeed

Employee Spotlight: Eric Ansong

Meet Eric Ansong, a Software Engineer on our data processing automation team. Eric and the automation team develop automation models to process insurance documents, such as Loss runs, ACORD Forms, and NCCI EMODs. Eric has been on the Groundspeed team for over three years, built many models, and added documentation for many of our current processes.

What is your favorite part about Groundspeed?
I have seen a lot of career growth since I joined Groundspeed, and this is because of the environment Groundspeed has provided. I really enjoy working on this team and have learned a lot from colleagues and senior engineers. My managers (current and previous) have not only shown interest in my career development but my personal growth as well. Everyone on the team gives their very best to achieve our overall goal.

What are you most proud of during your journey with Groundspeed?
I am most proud of my career growth and the contributions I have made to automating insurance documents. Our team works closely with our clients to ensure we create the highest quality technology.

What would you say to someone considering a career with Groundspeed?
If you love exciting challenges, come to Groundspeed. There are great opportunities for growth and many smart and collaborative co-workers.

What do you think is the future of Commercial Insurance Underwriting and the role of Groundspeed in shaping that?
Commercial insurance underwriting will always need data to assess the risk involved in insuring a business. Underwriters spend a lot of time on manual processes. They need cutting-edge technology that produces high-quality data in the shortest possible time to make an accurate risk assessment, and Groundspeed provides this. Using Groundspeed’s technology, underwriters get back the time they spent on manual processes, allowing them time for other operations.

Can you share a fun fact about yourself?
I love to watch and play football (not American football). I am still learning the rules of American football, though. But, at least I know what a touchdown means. I also enjoy photography and cooking.

Eric, we are glad to have you on our data processing automation team! If you are interested in joining the Groundspeed team, we are #hiring! Check out the open positions on our website here.
