Meet Laura, our Director of Finance and Business Operations at Groundspeed. Laura joined the Operations team at Groundspeed in 2019, and since then she has had the opportunity to work on initiatives with every department. Her current focus is primarily on financial planning & analysis.
What is your favorite part of working at Groundspeed?
The culture of optimization & that a good idea is a good idea no matter who suggests it. There is always room to improve, and I’m grateful to be surrounded by people eager to partner on projects that make Groundspeed more efficient.
What would you say to someone considering a career with Groundspeed?
The people you will meet during the process are actually as wonderful as they seem, and what you give to the role you will get back in spades in the form of career support & development, experience, and friendships.
What do you think is the future of Commercial Insurance Underwriting and the role of Groundspeed in shaping that?
Winning hearts & minds in the insurance industry is not easy, but the ground is shifting, and the cost/benefit of Groundspeed’s solution vs. BPOs and legacy systems is undeniable. Carriers who are able to maximize the value of their data through solutions like Groundspeed’s will no doubt have an edge.
Laura, we are thankful for your impact across the organization over the 3 ½ years.
